This 200 year old home has been a source of one historical surprise after another. Held again in July - I returned to take a deeper look. In the barn was this headstone in 2 pieces. With permission and help we carried it to the barn floor and reassembled it. I can’t wait to visit the Easton Historical Society and find out more about Sarah Sanford. The mystery is - I purchased sheet music from the 1860s -1870s and written faintly on each in pencil is Sarah Sanford. The headstone shows that she passed in 1849.
